How I Became The Wedding Day Concierge

Hello and welcome to The Wedding Day Concierge! I’m Maureen, an atelier, and the owner and founder of The Wedding Day Concierge, and I’m thrilled to have you here.


Recently, my husband and I, along with our beloved fur kids Peaches and Harry, made a life-changing decision—we moved to paradise, Port Douglas! This sea change brought a new perspective and renewed energy to my passion for helping brides and grooms on their special day.


My journey into the world of bridal alterations and wedding day services began in Melbourne back in 2010 when I established Elle & Stuart.


The name Elle & Stuart holds a special meaning for me—it’s a tribute to my mum, Ellen Stuart, who not only taught me how to sew but also instilled in me a love for creativity from a young age. Her influence and guidance were instrumental in shaping my path in the bridal industry.


I’ve altered approximately 1200 wedding dresses over the last 14 years, gaining invaluable expertise and insight into creating the perfect fit for every bride.


Having experienced a destination wedding myself, I understand the unique challenges that come with planning such an event from afar. I remember wishing for someone by my side to assist with my wedding dress and ensure everything went smoothly. That’s why I’m here—to be that supportive presence for you, to make your wedding day as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
